Öpfelwäje

Ingredients
1 egg
50 ml milk, 50 ml cream
½ pack vanilla powder
25 g sugar
1 pack ground hazelnuts
1 puff pastry round
Cinnamon
3-4 apples


Preparation
Take the egg, milk, cream, sugar and vanilla sugar and whisk them in a bowl until creamy: the wähen icing is ready.
Cut the apples into small slices.
Now place the puff pastry in a baking tray and sprinkle the base with ground hazelnuts.
Now you can start spreading the apple pieces – in a pattern of your choice – over the pastry. Done?
Now quickly spread the prepared wafer glaze over the top, sprinkle with cinnamon and you’re ready to go.

Preparation

Use the pizza peel to load the baking tray – slide it carefully into the center of the pizza oven. Make sure that the fire is not too close to avoid black spots.
After approx. 8-9 minutes, turn the tray a quarter at a time in the same direction so that all sides get the same amount of heat.
Now you can remove the golden meal with the help of the pizza peel and allow it to cool slightly.

Our tip

To make baking a little easier, we like to work with the Brotbach heat shield.
However, you must be aware that it extends the baking time by a few minutes.
